The Brief: Project 1.5 - To the Utopia

Sometimes I just want to escape, to bring my senses, my thoughts, my soul elsewhere, a place where I can be someone else and do the impossible things.

Sometimes I just want to play, to explore, to immerse myself in seemingly meaningless fun. Even if the world is on fire, I hope my mind is not.

Have you ever felt the same?

Now I want to invite YOU to escape with me, through my creation, to the world that only happens in our dreams. It may be a place, a sensation, an experience.

Through the use of models, prototypes, photography, film-making and any other mediums I may need to document and express my thoughts, I would investigate how we grown-ups ‘escape’ to the imaginative worlds through various ways like role-playing and cosplaying, and why it is so fascinating to be someone else or live in another universe.
