NOTE: THIS IDEA OF THE USE OF PLAYING CARDS IS ABANDONED AFTER THIS POST IS MADE, AS IT MAY BE CONFUSING TO USE THIS DECK FOR A RPG.

I have divided the cards into 5 stacks which all serve different functions to aid the gameplay.

Total number of player: 5 - 7

Total number of game master: 1

The details of each section will be explained in separate posts.

Character Cards:

Spade and Heart royals and number cards 10

Each player to choose 1 from the 2 sets of 5 cards provided. Different cards represent different classes. The remaining cards can be put away.

Ace - the Assassin

King - the Warrior

Queen - the Mage

Jack - the Sniper

10 - the Commoner

A balanced team (1 class each) is recommended for each group of players.

The Level-Up System:

the remaining of Spade cards and the black Joker

The team will level up together. The team starts at Level 1 (no card), the numeric values on the cards represent the team's levels (2 for level 2, etc) Level 10 (which is the max level) is represented by the black Joker.

Each level grants one class an ability or an improved weapon. The team needs to keep the card of their current level during the game.

The 'Betrayer' (Optional)

Before the game starts, the team can pick a card from this stack. The one that gets the Joker can choose to 'betray' the team for once, at any time during the game.

2 number cards will be removed if the players are in a team of 5.

This role aims to give more fun to the game instead of dividing the team. The team can use the 'betrayer' role as a strategy to complete quests or to win combats.

Player's Attack Stats:

A set of Club cards (from A to K) is used, with the additional cards of Heart 6 and 7 added

This stack decides how much damage the players can deal to the monsters. The cards are washed by the GM and placed face down. When it's a player's turn to attack, he can pick 1 card. Heart cards represent critical damages, which grant much more damages ( but it may not always be a good thing).

Other Stats:

A set of diamond cards.

This stack decides all other stats, eg. coins earned, damaged received, and are also used to decide the outcomes of decisions made by the players. Details will be explained in another post.
